Château de Candes is in Candes-Saint-Martin, one of the “Plus Beaux Villages de France”, where the Loire meets the Vienne. It is 10 minutes from Montsoreau, 15 minutes from Fontevraud, 20 minutes from Chinon and Saumur, and 1 hour from Tours. Is the spa included in the stay? Yes: one hour at the [Zen Garden Spa](https://www.chateaudecandes.com/en/chateau-spa) is offered per night of your stay — heated pool, sauna, hammam, Nordic baths. You book your time slots on site or from your stay page, and an extra hour can be added. Spa Côté Loire, under the château’s vaulted cellar, can be privatised for an hour, at an extra charge. The estate has 26 accommodations, 33 bedrooms in all: seven rooms in the château; around it, [rooms and suites](https://www.chateaudecandes.com/en/accommodation) for 2 to 5 guests in the Compostelle, Rempart and Perrière houses; and private houses for up to 8 guests. Can we have dinner on site? Yes, at Le Pressoir du Château, our restaurant in a 17th-century troglodyte press house: dinner Thursday to Sunday, brunch on Sundays from 11 am to 2 pm. Chef Guillaume Susin cooks resolutely contemporary dishes inspired by French cuisine bourgeoise. The estate is on the Loire à Vélo route, where the Loire meets the Vienne, and holds the “Accueil Vélo” label. Can the château be privatised for a wedding or a seminar? Yes. The estate hosts [weddings](https://www.chateaudecandes.com/en/celebrate/your-wedding), [corporate seminars](https://www.chateaudecandes.com/en/celebrate/seminar-and-incentive), [family gatherings](https://www.chateaudecandes.com/en/celebrate/friends-and-family) and retreats, with several reception spaces: Le Pressoir, La Grande Nef and the troglodyte rooms. A wedding can gather up to 100 guests for dinner, with 90 beds on the estate; a seminar, up to 60 people; the château and the Tower can be privatised for 10 to 20 guests.
